One wrong date costs a reader a penalty, so the standard is deliberately strict.
A date is published only when it appears on the county's own website — the treasurer, the tax collector, or the state statute the county collects under. Newspapers, tax-lien companies and national summaries are not accepted as sources.
The county is left out rather than filled in with a guess. Coverage grows a few counties at a time as each one is checked by hand.
If a county changes a date or you find an error, send it in with the page URL and we will re-check it against the official source and correct the page.
CountyTaxDates is an independent reference and is not a government agency. Deadlines change and exceptions apply — always confirm with your county treasurer using the official link on this page. Nothing here is tax, legal or financial advice.
